5 Classes: Thursday Sept 19, Oct 3, Oct 17, Nov 7 and Nov 21 6-8 pm
Level: Intermediate
$65.00 plus materials
While knitting this classic v-neck sweater, you will learn the basics of seamed sweater construction. We will start with swatching to obtain a good sweater fabric, move through the increases and decreases involved in the different pieces, and end with seaming and picking up stitches for a neckband. This straightforward pullover will soon be a go-to garment in your closet! Please be prepared to knit during the weeks so that you keep up with the various skills involved. Please note there is pre-class homework for this class. You must bring a completed, washed and blocked swatch in at least 2 different needle sizes to the first class.
Materials: DK weight yarn (we recommend Berroco Ultra Wool DK, Juniper Moon Farm Patagonia or Kelbourne Woolens Scout), US size 4 and 6 24 inch circular, or sizes needed to get gauge, 16" circular in smaller needle size, stitch holder, coilless safety pins, stitch markers, tapestry needle, gauge checker, download the free Berroco Pattern "Weir" from Ravelry or Berroco.com.
