LEVEL: Intermediate
5 Classes, Mondays 6 - 8 pm April 20, 27, May 11, 25 and June 8
This sweater has such an interesting construction. It is knit from sleeve to sleeve in panels that are joined through a clever use of short rows and held live stitches. The lace panels are knit as you join the sides to the back, and the lace panels on the sleeves are joined to the stockinette portion of the sleeve in the same fashion, making finishing this sweater a breeze!
In this class, you'll learn how to do a provisional cast-on, read a lace chart, join lace panels to held body stitches, cast on stitches mid-row, pick up stitches for a neck and button band, and how to block out the lace to really shine. You'll end up with a crisp summer sweater perfect for air conditioned offices or cool nights by the lake.
