Level: Advanced Beginner
1 Class, Saturday 1-3pm April 22
Cost: $25.00 - Students will pay the instructor directly the first day of class.
This workshop is designed to teach you to correctly tension your working yarn in your left hand to make it easier to simply "pick" your stitch rather than wrap it, as you do when holding your yarn in the right hand. Knitters using this method swear that it's faster, easier to work with two colors in fair isle patterns, and less stressful on wrists and other Carpal Tunnel-prone areas. While most students find the knit stitch easy to master pretty quickly, many find their technique falls apart when they attempt to purl. Shelley has developed a method of continental-styling purling that is sure to make it easy for you to learn it too!
Bring a light solid colored yarn to class, and appropriate needles.
